INCITE sectoral workshop is a groundbreaking event dedicated to innovation in the Cement, Lime, and Magnesium oxide sectors, in particular in relation to decarbonisation, depollution, and circularity. This highly anticipated hybrid event will take place on 30-31 October 2025, in the vibrant city of Seville at the JRC premises.

The workshop promises to be a landmark occasion, bringing together a diverse array of stakeholders, including industry leaders, technology providers, representatives from Member States, research institutions, environmental NGOs, academics, financial experts, and the European Commission.

Objectives of the workshop

  • Examine the current state of innovation in the CLM sectors, with a focus on depollution, decarbonisation, and circular economy, and identify opportunities for future growth and development.
  • Provide a platform for industry leaders and technology providers to showcase innovative technologies and solutions that can help the Cement, Lime, and Magnesium oxide sectors achieve climate neutrality, increased resource efficiency and circularity.
  • Facilitate a dynamic discussion and debate among stakeholders on the technical, environmental, and economic aspects of innovative techniques, including their maturity, cost-effectiveness, and potential cross-media effects, as well as the framework conditions, permitting, and financing requirements necessary for their adoption.
  • Encourage stakeholders to share their expertise and experiences, and to collaborate with INCITE in gathering technical information on new technologies, processes, and environmental performance, with the ultimate goal of supporting the development of more sustainable and innovative CLM sectors.

A number of key projects for decarbonisation and circular economy in the CLM industries will be presented and discussed  at this important workshop. It will provide unique networking opportunities, and constitute an important milestone towards industrial transformation. The workshop aims to help build bridges and remove information barriers between industry, Member States, Research and Technology Organisations, environmental NGOs, academia, technology providers and financial actors.

The registration is now closed for both in-person and online participation.
