The 3rd INCITE workshop, dedicated to PFAS management in sectors under the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED), and organized in collaboration with Hazardous Waste Europe, took place on 5-6 May 2026 in Seville. Over two intensive days, participants reviewed key European policy updates, global substitution and monitoring strategies and treatment technologies to manage PFAS emissions from industrial activities.

Over 460 participants attended the workshop (75 in person and 385 online) showing a high level of engagement and from a broad spectrum of stakeholders. The workshop brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including industry leaders, technology providers, representatives from Member States, research institutions, environmental NGOs, academics, financial experts, and the European Commission. Through a dynamic exchange of ideas and expertise, participants delved into the current state of innovation in PFAS by reviewing key enabling technologies and exploring the challenges and opportunities associated with PFAS management
