The Basque Circular Summit is the largest event on Circular Economy in southern Europe. This year, it took place on 2-4 April, and covered a wide range of topics not only on circular economy, but also on decarbonisation, depollution, material efficiency, eco-design, financing, innovation and digitalisation.
Ioannis Retsoulis, representing the INCITE Team, gave the opening presentation in the plenary session on ‘’Boosting clean technologies’’, advocating INCITE’s strategic nature and unique added value at European and global level. He conveyed the message that INCITE, acting as a technology compass, has the potential to support wider EU policy objectives of several overarching policies on clean, sustainable and competitive technologies.
Ioannis elaborated on the significant amount of work INCITE has achieved so far, raised awareness of INCITE’s annual report which will be published later this year, including recommendations on the most promising innovative techniques in various sectors, and spread the word on the upcoming iron & steel workshop taking in place in Sevilla, Spain.
Finally, Ioannis kindly invited all relevant stakeholders to submit their techniques in the recently launched INCITE platform, in order to reap the full benefits of INCITE.
